Anyone know about the People to People Student Ambassador program?
I got an invitation to travel to England, France, Germany, The Netherlands, Switzerland, and Belgium. I was wondering if anyone else knows about this or got an invite or has experiences it in the past. If you have please let me know about important details and what it will be like, thanks =)!!

I was invited! I got home today and got read the letter. I'm really excited. If you
really want to know about other's experience type in People to People Student Ambassador program? here on yahoo answers and I promise you will get everything you need to know! I can tell you one thing, it will cost money. But after reading so many things I think it will be a great experience. Hopfeully there is a good payment or a reduce rate thing for low income families. I look them up in the BBB they had 21 conplaints in the lost 36 months but all were resovolved. I also know this program has been accrieded by MANY Presidents. I am in very intersted in this program! I got a letter for the student ambassador program for the england trip. How much does it cost is it worth it?
It's the one where you go to England, France, Germany, Belgium, and the netherlands for 20 days. Has anyone gone on this trip before? How muchdoes it cost (does it cover food and living) thanks =]

Netherlands or Hungary for exchange program?
Netherlands or Hungary for exchange program?
I will be an exchange student with AFS program. I have to options one is Holland and the other is Hungary. What do you think I should choose?

In your other question you mention being committed to Hungary. If so, go to Hungary. If you are not committed yet, you still have the information of the host family who are expecting you. Hungary will be less expensive than the Netherlands. Looking at what you can and can not do as 16 year old exchange student, I am not sure the Netherlands would bring what you now think they will, so keep your first choice.

Both countries are great. Hungary and the Netherlands both have a lot to offer. Even much so with Hungary. Not too many people are aware of how beautiful Hungary's culture/history is and I think Hungary would be a great choice. Something you should not miss!

I am trying to decide between two. European Heritage - England, France, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, and Switzerland (20 days) Exploring Europe - England, France, and Italy (19 days) if you could tell me how much either of these trips cost, that would be appreciated too.

just weigh the pros and cons the first trip is more days, but youd get to spend fewer amounts of time at each. theres 6 countries in 20 days should average about 3 days per place and 2 extra days. this may or may not include traveling. trip two would give you 6 days in each! (thats a lot of time!) youd get to do a lot of things and really get the chance to explore. just decide is it worth more to see more places, or worth more to see more of one place. no matter which trip you choose you'll have england and france. But maybe you really want to go to Italy? maybe. choosing which countries appeal to you could help decide as well. Im traveling to Germany and Switzerland thsi summer as well as England and France, and Ive heard that Switzerland is absolutely beautiful! But Id still take Italy over Germany, guess it just depends on preferences.

go on european heritage! i went on exploring europe last year, it was an EXCELLENT experience, but i realized that we were on the bus A LOT which is never fun. considering that european heritage goes to more countries, choose that! i'm 100% sure that exploring europe is $6,500 and %80 sure that european heritage is also $6,500 or at least around that. are you going this summer or next summer??? because it usually depends upon if there is a delegation leaving from your area thats going on that specific program....

Student trying to get to her school? How would I do that?
I want to go to school in the netherlands and I need to find the cheapest flights out of the US (Louisville) to Amsterdam. I'm flying by myself and I'm a minor so someone please help thanks! I've been checking sites but they get a bit trick so direct links would be a great help!

You're joking, right? Flying to Amsterdam is far different than flying to Florida. Any traveller going to school abroad will first need a visa, an additional requirement on top of your passport. As an unaccompanied minor travelling internationally, you'll need special parental permissions and additional documentation, if the airlines will even take you internationally (many won't). Finding a cheap airline ticket is the least of your worries.

If anyone could list me a few english teaching unis in Holland, preferable closer to Amsterdam :) and i am from Europe but i have been studying in the middle east at an american high school for 3 years, am i still considered an EU student even though i have an european passport and everything?

Children of diplomats or government officials are usually considered EU resident even if physically absent from the European Union for long periods. Is France a very expensive country for a student?
Is France a very expensive country for a student?
I'm supposed to go to either of France, Netherlands or Spain for my 6 week internship. I cant figure out where to go. I should be considering the december january weather too into concern along with the living cost. Is France really that expensive, or is it just Paris?

L'endroit l'endroit l'endroit: it all depends on the location I currently live in france and have been living here for quite some time; if your from the states and you like to cook you will fall in love with the prices of vegatables (a pack of stop light peppers (huge) for a euro) meat is more expensive (originally from VA) alcohol in bar more expensive (average pint is 5euros= 7 30ish dollars) alcohol outside a bar fairly equal or cheaper rent is fairly equal but ive been to all three but have only live in france as a student and as a teacher will you be using language for your internship, if so choose france or spain, if not Netherlands is an amazing country (more expensive) spain is the cheapest, and France has the most culture...if you come to france, learn the basics of the language, with the youth they will love you anyways, certain from the older generations may not be as welcoming however. in the other two you will feel very welcomed most of the time Good luck!

Have you learned any French or Spanish? I think that is worth considering. You can survive six weeks of winter in any of those countries, but Spain will have the best winter weather I'm guessing. If you are paying your own expenses, then Spain is good due to lower costs.
