The living cost in Maastricht, Netherlands?

The living cost in Maastricht, Netherlands?
I am going to spend one year in Maastricht, doing my master degree. I managed to get a cozy room for 350 euros. How much more should I expect to spend each month for the other things, considering that as a graduate student I concentrate most of my time for studies, not going out. Do you think 800-1000 euros a month (including housing) can be enough?

Yes, with a room for €350, you will get by with €800, €1000 is better and would give you the option to travel a bit in some weekends. Mostly a furnished room (can contain nothing but carpet and curtains, or can be completely furnished) does include the cost of power, water and property taxes. In short mentioned as 'inclusief', ask your landlord to state what is included and what you will have to pay extra. Phone is almost never included, you might want to consider an internet phone service (skype) to contact home and a cheap mobile prepaid for your contacts within the Netherlands. And check that your medical/health insurance is paid for. It is compulsory and needed, as the costs of healthcare will need to be paid and can run up high if something does go wrong. With €800 you will have as much as most students, specially if the costs for your study are all paid for already.
