How do I organize my two-day trip to flower parade in the Netherlands?
Where should I take bus/train to? Where could I stay for a night? (not too expensive, I am a student) How much (approx.) would this fun cost? P.S. Comming from abroad, from direction of Berlin.

well, if you really must go, first you have to see what it is so spectacular that you have to go abroad, I mean is it worth it financially? That's what you really want to know isn't it? Of course it is, but don't get side tracked. Know the import/export laws if you decide to bring back seeds or plants. Get a great camera(phone) and easy dismantling tripod and glossary of terms in english and scottish(?).

Which parade? Because there are several, one in Autumn has had its last ride last year. This is a spring parade that still runs: http://www.bloemencorso-bollenstreek.nl/index.asp?lan=nl The Dutch page has info on the 2008 run, the English page only on the 2007 one. Download the 'folder' it has a very extensive program. I had a look and Amsterdam is a good place to stay, or Haarlem. The Netherlands are so small that if you stay in a town in the same general part of the country you are able to visit the festival or tour, without much additional traveling. If you stay in Amsterdam you will have a lot of choice in cheaper lodgings, and transport by train or bus will be available to any of the bigger flower festivals and parades. Added: Watching the parade coming past on the road is free, you can see the parade being build, entry €4. Expect about € 20 for local transport if you stay in Amsterdam, less if you stay nearer. I do not know how much a train, plane or bus ticket Berllin/Amsterdam costs, you can search for that on-line, by entering those words into Google. Hostels would cost about €25 to €35 per night, a hotel much more and expect all local hostels and hotels near the route to be booked solid near that time.
